WOW, I thought it used to be cheaper on the east coast. You can get it for like 4.13 here in Oregon. Yes, the price is still completely ridiculous. I agree everyone responsible for this needs to be executed immeadiately, and we should all be reimbursed.

Luckily, I don't drive. I have a permit, but even when I do get my license I'm not buying a car. I couldn't afford to use it with gas prices!

but really the oil companies arnt profiting cause they have to buy the oil through their suppliers who have to buy it from other warehouses who get it from oil rigs off the coast, alaska, russia, and the middle east. so by the time it gets to us its extremely high. trust me i know people who work the business and not even they get discounts. the sooner the push for alt energy, the sooner we can go back to actually having money, and the sooner we stop relying on other countries, the sooner we can get out of a depression.

Here's my view on things. Either we find an alternative fuel source soon, or the U.S. is going to slip into a depression within the next few years. Gas prices are insanely high, and ethanol really isn't the way to go either because we'll be paying the same amount in increased food prices. Life just sucks that way.
