I had sugery about this time last year, they scraped a protruding lower spinal disc. I kinda thrashed around a bit right after I was intubated, when they had the electric needles in me (to test nerve pathways); noticed the blood on my legs in post op, thank goodness they had a good nurse there. Then I wasn't given any painkillers afterwards, had to call the doc on a Sunday and he phoned the scrip to my pharmacy :p
